Minimalist Chain Cuff Ear Threader with Zircon Stud Earrings

The cuff and the stud are the same piece here, joined by a short length of chain that threads through the ear. Nothing about the design is decorative for its own sake, which is the point of the shape.

Silver and Plating

The earrings are made from silver and gold plated silver. Silver gives the piece its weight and its cool brightness, while the gold plating warms the surface for wearers who prefer a two-tone finish against the skin.

Stones

The stud end is set with zircon, a stone chosen for its clear white sparkle. Zircon is a natural gemstone with a high refractive index, so it holds its own next to "diamond-set" pieces in the same stack.

Fit

The chain is light enough to drape rather than pull, and the threader end passes through the piercing to sit behind the lobe. That keeps the front of the ear clean while the chain adds movement from the side.

Making

Each pair is made to order and takes around three working days to complete before it is packed. Because the earrings are assembled by hand, small variations between pairs are normal.

Care

Plated silver lasts longest when it is kept away from water and chemicals. Remove the pair before showering or swimming, apply perfume and lotion first, and wipe the metal with a soft dry cloth after each wear. Store the earrings in a sealed pouch so the plating does not rub against other pieces.
