Hand-Knotted Freshwater Pearl Strand with Lobster or Toggle Clasp

Every pearl on this strand is knotted individually, a traditional stringing method that keeps the pearls from rubbing against one another. The result is a strand that flexes with movement instead of holding a rigid shape.

Because each pearl is separated by a knot, a break in the thread will not release the whole strand.

Clasp Options

Two closures are offered. The lobster clasp is paired with a 2in extender chain for an adjustable fit.

The "toggle" clasp closes by slipping the bar through the ring, and it sits flat against the neck once fastened.

What to Expect

Freshwater pearls are a natural material, so shape, size, colour, lustre, and surface texture vary slightly from pearl to pearl. Those differences are normal in a knotted strand.

Looking After a Knotted Strand

Take the necklace off before contact with water, and keep it away from lotions, perfumes, and chemicals.

Wipe the pearls with a soft dry cloth, then put the strand back in its pouch. Every strand is made to order and arrives with a button pouch, a polishing cloth, and a pearl care card.
