Australian Opal Choker Necklace in 14K or 18K Solid Gold

Marquis cut opals are strung along a gold bead chain, each stone held loosely enough that it shifts as you move. Natural australian opal is never uniform, so every shaker plays a slightly different set of colors back at you.

Gold Choice

The chain and every setting are solid gold, ordered in either 14k or 18k. A bead chain carries the shakers without adding flat links that would compete with the stones.

Length

The choker is 35 cm with a 5 cm adjustable chain at the back, so it can be worn close to the throat or let out for a little more room over a high neckline.

The "Shaker" Effect

Because the opals hang free inside their mounts, they catch light from changing angles instead of sitting static. Under warm light the greens come forward; in daylight the violets do.

Made to Order

Each choker is built after it is ordered, with up to 3 to 4 weeks needed before it is ready to send.

Opal Care

Opal holds water and dislikes heat and vibration, so a soft dry cloth is the only cleaning it needs. Skip the ultrasonic and the steam cleaner, and put the necklace on after perfume has dried.
